We had our welcome meeting today and the guys were late. Everything was dragged, thus the team leaders did not take us around the school. Instead, we went to take a lot of pictures and to buy our phone cards. We had our lunch there too. There were many things for us to explore near the campus supermarket. The foods there were delicious and cheap. After lunch, class started. Since there was an issue on our plugs, lesson was an hour only. Then, we went back to our dormitory and use our laptops. In the evening, the team leaders took us to the nearby town for shopping and had our dinner. The dinner was the famous spicy steamboat in Sichuan. We enjoyed the food very much although is very spicy. We also bought some daily products at the supermarket there and saw a lot of stuffs that does not have and happen in Singapore. First, our bags need to be place at the entrance before we enter. Secondly, at the food area, there were many marinated vegetables and meat available. Some are not what we commonly saw. Lastly, before we leaves, we need to show the receipt to the security guard at the door, to prove that we did not steal anything. Before Jolean, Ziya, Yee Yen and I were about to leave, the alarm sounded. The lady before us had some problems with the items she purchase, and thus the security guards were checking on her. As we need to head back to campus, we need to leaves after that. Today was really fun.
